The Challenge
About 28.8 million U.S. adults could benefit from using hearing aids. Some hearing loss can be treated as easy as removing a blockage from the ear canal. Other, more permanent, types of hearing loss may require assistive technology. A full audiologic evaluation will help determine the next necessary steps towards a solution.
Hearing Difficulties
Hearing difficulties can be permanent or treatable. The first step towards better hearing is scheduling a full diagnostic hearing evaluation.
Tinnitus
Tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Most often this is permanent, however some patients find relief with hearing aids, and other treatment options. Determining the cause of the ringing is the first step towards finding a possible solution.
Wax Build-up
Ear wax (cerumen) build up can lead to hearing loss, balance issues, and tinnitus. Checking the ear canals for excessive ear wax is the first step in the audiologic evaluation process. If the ear canal is plugged up (occluded) with ear wax it can be removed for immediate relief.
Hearing Testing
A full diagnostic hearing test looks at all phases of the auditory system. In order to help with hearing difficulties we must first complete a full diagnostic hearing test. This will allow for proper diagnosis and treatment of hearing difficulties.
